The benefits of high quality colostrum are known by every rancher.  But, what looks like good colostrum often is inadequate.  A University of Florida study tested 2,000 colostrum samples and found that only 20% of the samples contained an adequate amount of IgG for good calf health.  The JorVet Bovine Colostrumeter measures IgG content in a simple cowside test. The graduated cylinder is filled with a few ounces of Bovine colostrum.   Three levels are listed on the gauge:

• Green Range - Shows over 50 immunoglobulins/ml
• Yellow Range - Shows 30 - 50 immunoglobulins/ml
• Red Range - Shows below 30 immunoglobulins/ml
