Cox Ranch Supply Donates to KC Pet Project

July 22, 2018 - To help fulfill our mission of helping animals in need, we donated pet toys and treats to KC Pet Project.  Their staff said that they had a higher than usual number of puppies after intake from a large puppy mill earlier this month.  They indicated that the puppies were in need of toys and treats to aid in their training and teething.  We donated Kong Puppy toys, Kong Paste and Treats and Stewart's Dehydrated Liver Training Treats as well.  Some small, puppy-sized tennis ball toys rounded out the donations.  We are happy to work with such a wonderful organization and hope that our donations will make a difference.

June 9, 2017 - Part of our Mission to help animals involves donating a portion of our quarterly sales to various animal rescue and charitable organizations.  We are a relatively new company, so we are starting small. But each time you shop with us, your purchases enable us to give back even more to the animal community. On June 9, 2017 we had the honor of visiting KC Pet Project and donating dog and cat food, toys, training treats and towels. KC Pet Project is one of the largest rescue organizations in the Midwest serving both Kansas and Missouri.  

This organization is unique in that they are almost 100% No Kill, they will never turn away a pet and they accept virtually all species of animals including dogs, cats, sheep, goats, ducks, snakes, rabbits and more.

Pet Associate (and longtime horseback riding friend) Shannon Slagg gave us a tour of the Pet Project's Overland Park, Kansas location, which is located inside the PetSmart Store at 95th and Quivira.  They had several dogs, cats and kittens on site as well as rabbits.  All waiting for their forever home.  

If you live in the Midwest, KC Pet Project is always looking for people willing to foster their wide variety of animals and volunteers to walk dogs and help care for animals.  In addition, they can always use donations of pet food, training treats, toys for kittens, cats, puppies and dogs, towels and rags, newspapers, etc.  Cash donations are always appreciated and are tax deductible as well.
